Adding basic external folder to immichi // Error at adding External Library
Hello there, I am trying to set up a basic immichi including a external folder inside of the NAS DS218+ that I have
In this case, we have:
- Immichi latest installed in Container Manager
- docker-compose file update (attached)
- NAS file/folders setup ( /volume1/FOTOS )
I have followed up this tutorials,
https://immich.app/docs/install/synology/
https://immich.app/docs/features/libraries/
But no clue at all what I am doing wrong
How can I solve and configure this correctly?

If this ticket can be closed you can use the /close
command, and re-open it later if needed.Adding ENV file
Just mount
- /mnt/<whatever>:/volume1/FOTOS
There really shouldn't be more to itWhat you mean in "whatever"? where yo mount it? in the docker compose file? and if yes, how?>>> like: services:
immich-server:
container_name: immich_server
image: ghcr.io/immich-app/immich-server:${IMMICH_VERSION:-release}
volumes:
# Montar /mnt/<whatever> a /volume1/FOTOS
- /mnt/<whatever>:/volume1/FOTOS
# Otros volúmenes que ya tienes
- ${UPLOAD_LOCATION}:/usr/src/app/upload
- /etc/localtime:/etc/localtime:ro
What you mean in "whatever"?You can choose whichever folder name you want there, it literally doesn't matter Please use code formatting as linked in the bot message above, that helps with readability
Ok, but this doesnt exists, how I am suposed to fix?

Where did you get "/mnt/fot2" from?
As he said it doesnt matter I just type it, my bad
Hold on what you're trying to do is really bad (assuming you'd do it correctly)
What is that line below supposed to do?
This doesn't make much sense
Is it from ChatGPT or something?
You should only change the route to the folder in the .env file
seems working:

You should not edit the docker compose
Ofc
They're adding an external library
Oh ok
Got it
At least that's what I was told 😅
Missed that
I'd still love to have this answered though ^
Or, @mironkraft are you trying to add an external library or...?
yes I used GPT xd
Yeah don't
Try to understand it
yes, becuase is where i have all the pictures, and i need something to order them by time and accessible and i find out the immich as a solution for this
yep, i tried but this was making me stuck
thanks for all
