Abysmal FPS all of the sudden
used to be able to run the game perfectly fine on this pc but now i get 40-30 fps when theres a decent amount of dust or during rain, and also just randomly sometimes. started after a fresh install of windows and i reinstalled the game. happens without some of the mods on this list (tried without realistic sky, MP3Player, modders toolkit, wulfrum alligator, extraloadouts, efficientnohits, randomchecklist) and still happened

Have you looked in client.log for any errors being reported?

Hm. Performance issues are hard to diagnose, you can test with half the mods, see if it is fine, then repeat the test until you can identify a mod that is responsible for the issue

TML is CPU bound, so it can only use 1 core. You can always try assigning it to a core not used by other programs
It's not limited on RAM and will take as much as it needs

mmm cant tell if this is not normal amounts of lag or just calamity worm boss with several debuffs normal amount of lag
verifying integrity of game files and closing visual studio seems to have improved things a lot
Cal is poorly coded, no way around that
Only other ways to reduce lag are to reduce the game resolution and play in a smaller window, or play a smaller world size

Just try
You can off the smooth option
And use only optimalization
if you don't like how the mod works, you turn off the option in the configuration, then the mod "doesn't work" except for the optimization that improves fps
Black screen optimalization it changes practically nothing visual but give a few fps
If you very want get more fps try it
