Game crash on startup
game fails to open entirely, no window appears or anything. client.log file terminates after stating stuff to do with my monitor and this issue only started after i got this new monitor

Welcome to #support-forum. Before someone helps you, please first consult the information in #TML Troubleshooting Guide and try all the suggestions that might fit your particular issue, especially in the linked FAQ page.
If the information in the pinned thread does not solve your issue, please post all log files by dragging and dropping them into this chat. In Steam right click on
tModLoader in the library, then hover over Manage and click on Browse local files. In the folder that appears find tModLoader-Logs and open that folder. Inside that folder are the logs files. Select them all except the Old folder and drag them into this chat. I have same thing and cant figure out the cause. Trying like 3 hours to understand. And logs doesn't say anything wrong in the game. Just after initialization of screen resolution it shuts off.

found a solution
i set my monitor to a lower refresh rate (60hz specifically for me) and then launched the game, which worked.
i then closed it and relaunched it with 120hz and then 165hz, which it succesfully did as well
