Noob Mistake

TLDR.. I created all datasets for immich and directed each one to the correct folder EXCEPT for one which was postgresdb.. everything else was working fine but i wanted to reinstall it properly with all of them directing to each respective dataset.. so i deleted and reinstalled immich but the problem is all of my old uploads are still in the folder but the immich app wont display anything upon launch.. i dont know how to get immich to read the old files and display it? its not even "old" i uploaded all of the photos within the past 2 days. if this is at all possible please help.

Without the database you need to re-upload all the photos again

When you say database, are you referring to what’s inside postgresdb? I’ve reloaded everything already but I want to understand what I need for a legit backup and restore process.. I had the backup file but is that enough?

The database uses the postgres (by default) to store its content, yes. Copying that folder does not help. We have docs on the entire backup and restore process
