May have found a legit bug
During the last update and the newest update, I've been finding that while in Prototype Mode (not in the Recalibrated Mode since I haven't figured out how to do that yet), half the time the alien silhouettes when you get a Scan Ticket don't show up after it plays the Alien Scan animation. And sometimes, it doesn't play properly as it proceeds to freeze up while playing the audio, to then suddenly show up the diamond; with a 50% of showing the silhouette of the newly unlocked alien or not.

Did you try rotating the bezel when the diamond shape appears? There are 2 scan animations, one will instantly show the silhouette while the other requires you to rotate the bezel to unlock the alien.
I did, and nothing happens. The animation for when you're in Selection Mode plays in the background of the diamond normally though.

@HoneyLovingWerewolf Having a video to show what you mean would be more helpful for identifying the issue
I know, but I don't know how to record stuff using my phone, nor upload videos.
The best I can do is describe it the best I can until I can figure out how.
You can download Screen Recorders, but later Android versions have a Screen Recorder built in that you can use

It will kinda be a bummer though doing it... I just unlockked Benwolf on Prototype Mode (since I still can't figure out how to activate the Recalibration Mode)

Decouple first (DD R L DU L R)
Then enter the Recal Code (LL RR LL RR)

Yeah, I got an update.
Despite feeling a bit conflicted to do so since I was so happy to finally get Benwolf/Blitzwolfer from a Scan Ticket, I went into settings and reset the data.
It's so weird that ever since then, I have not been able to recreate the bug.
I've done it over and over again, and now it seems to work as Ethan Ryder said, as the second scan animation plays now when I twist the bezel.
Istg this is either the most minor or most random bug I've seen, and I'm an active game beta tester, so that says something!
without a consistent way to reproduce said issue, it will not be marked as a bug
