QMK / Vial on the wireless corne?
Hi everyone
I've been using a fully pre-built 3W6HS for a few years now and I absolutely love it! However, I want to now also try a bit of the DIY experience and get a wireless corne kit (also I think I could use those extra keys on the pinky side), since the Partially Assembled PCB's are back in stock. Can anybody tell me if it's possible to use QMK instead of ZMK with the corne? I'd much rather use vial than any of the ZMK solutions. Also it would make it easier to sync parts of the config between my 2 keyboards. Thanks!

Hi there! Our wireless Corne kits are designed to run on ZMK firmware, which is optimized for wireless functionality with the nice!nano. While QMK is a fantastic firmware, it doesn't currently have the same level of robust wireless support as ZMK for split keyboards like the Corne.
Because of this, we only officially support ZMK on our wireless Corne kits. You can find our ZMK firmware files and documentation on building your own custom firmware here: https://docs.typeractive.xyz/build-guides/corne-wireless/firmware
ZMK does have options for keymap customization, including ZMK Studio (https://zmk.studio/) and building your own firmware using our GitHub repositories as a template.
If you have any other questions about the build process or ZMK, feel free to ask!

If you're not familiar, ZMK is a wireless-focused firmware, and it powers our Corne Wireless.
