edge function wont update

I tried both

npx supabase@beta functions deploy sessionWithEmail --use-api --debug

npx supabase@beta functions deploy sessionWithEmail --use-api --debug

and changing the code through the supabase website UI

as a basic test I changed the field names of my response and no luck
