Left row and thumb keys not working
Hi, guys. I had the same thing happen to me as discussed in this thread:
https://discord.com/channels/924164891990978570/1299387823689961543.
I replied in that thread since I didn't want to start a new one since it was related, but no one responded there.
2 days after completing my build, all of a sudden, the bottom left row and the thumb keys stopped working. It was weird because for a moment they started working and then they stopped working again. I am using the no solder headers and I was using magnetic usb cables since I didn't know I wasn't supposed to. I was also using a magsafe stand with the keyboard. Removing the acrylic covers and pressing the nice!nano into position seem to have solved the issue for now. But can anyone tell me why we're not supposed to use magnetic usb cables? Also, it the magsafe stand ok? I keep seeing YouTube videos where people do this. Thank you.

Hey there! Glad to hear you got those keys working again by reseating the nice!nano. That often helps with the no-solder headers if the connection isn't quite firm.
Regarding magnetic USB cables and MagSafe stands: While they are convenient, the magnets can potentially interfere with the sensitive electronics on the nice!nano, especially the compass/magnetometer sensor. This interference can cause unexpected behavior, like keys not registering correctly or the keyboard acting erratically. It's generally recommended to avoid strong magnets near the nice!nano to prevent this.
For troubleshooting rows and columns not working, you can check out our guide here: https://docs.typeractive.xyz/troubleshooting/rows-columns-not-working. It goes over identifying the pins and checking for issues.
