Thumbnail Generation Failing on Some Images
Good morning! There's an interesting issue that I've been troubleshooting and I think I found a workaround, but wanted to make the devs aware of this if they are not already. I used AI to do a little write-up to make things easier. Apologize for the upload, was too big to copy and paste

In order to be able to effectively help you, we need you to provide clear information to show what the problem is. The exact details needed vary per case, but here is a list of things to consider:
- Your docker-compose.yml and .env files.
- Logs from all the containers and their status (see above).
- All the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far.
- Any recent changes you've made to Immich or your system.
- Details about your system (both software/OS and hardware).
- Details about your storage (filesystems, type of disks, output of commands like fdisk -l and df -h).
- The version of the Immich server, mobile app, and other relevant pieces.
- Any other information that you think might be relevant.
Please paste files and logs with proper code formatting, and especially avoid blurry screenshots.

It is able to download the image just fine if I ask it to. So to fix this, I just tell it to regenerate the metadata, followed by regenerate the thumbnails. But if I just ask it to regenerate the thumbnail, I get the error in the logs that I posted above
What error? Please post the logs and everything else the bot asked for

Ahh okay, sorry about that. I would get warnings like this:

the files works fine on my machine
so it is likely something is up with your setup that causes the metadata extraction not running
Maybe there was an issue with metadata generation on some of my images during the initial import

It's no worry, just wanted to raise awareness if anyone else is having the issue. Thumbnail generation will fail if metadata extraction hasn't been completed first
