iOS app vs. Web sync problem : thumbnail for deleted photos
hello all. I've got app on ios (last version, last version 1.132.3 on server also). When app is running, if I add or delete a photo on web client (on a macbook for example), everything's fine, the new photo added is instantly shown on the app, or the deleted one disapeared. Fine. BUT if the app is off when I delete a photo thru web application, and then I run the app, photo thumbnail is still here. If i clic on it, white screen, no photo big format is shown (it's ok, the photo has been deleted). But why is the thumbnail still here ?
Please note that if I add a photo using the web interface while the app is off, once I open the app, the new photo is there (thumbnail is here). So it looks like sync is ok, but not for deleted pictures ?
thank you for your help

If this ticket can be closed you can use the /close
command, and re-open it later if needed.Sync in general is not in a good state right now. It's a large priority for the team and will hopeuflly see some improvements in the near future.
is this through a reverse proxy? it should auto update, otherwise, you can try pull down to refresh to update the page
thank you for your answer
yes, reverse proxy. Strange it's ok for new photos, not deleted ones. Ok, we (one shared account for my wife and our sons) to manualy update. Thank you for your time
Can you check if you have websocket enabled?
if yes and it still somehow bugged out, then I suggest bare with us for a while, until the new sync mechanism is implemented
yes, header for websocket is defined (DSM NAS server), with "upgrade" and "connection" headers. But i'm checking if it's ok and come back here.
Anyway, I of course will wait 🙂
ah I think I know what happened
you trash then permanently delete them from the trash, correct?
there is a bug that the permanently delete event doesn't get record and send to the mobile app
if you just trash it then it would behave correctly
exactly, I deleted permanently. Do you know if this bug is "on track" ?
it's in the "sync improvement" mentioned ?
Yes, should be
well, "wscat -c wss://photos.mondomain.fr/api/websocket" give "error: Unexpected server response: 502". It's the bug you said?
nope
