Connection to host has been lost
I can't connect to my friend's world with or without mods on vanilla
Solution:Jump to solution
it certainly seems to not be mod related, and there's nothing obvious I can see

Are you getting any kind of error when trying to join
Just the same as my title

Okay that's usually a connection issue meaning somewhere between your ISP and the Server the packets are being dropped ]
Can you tell me how I can check?
if you have the IP address for the server (I honestly don't know how Multiplayer in Satisfactory works) you can run a tracert in the command prompt and see if any packets are dropping
it turns out that I need to find out my friend's IP address to check the connection to him? We just try directly through steam
There might be a issue with steam crossplay or whatever they call it idk if there's a way to check that
Hmm... It's strange, before the global update we could easily connect even if someone was not on Steam, but on Epic Games
Is this the first time you've tried playing together or have you done this before
The last time we played together was September 2024.
And then we could connect to each other
This might sound silly but did either of you two switch ISP's since then cause certain ISP's block that kind of traffic as a saftey feature you have to manually opt out of at least in America
No, we did not change providers.)
Are you both on the same branch? The main branch is 1.0 and experimental is 1.1.
I'm going to let someone with more experience take over I'll freely admit my expertise is in dedicated hosting not through Steam Invite
Yes, we are at 1.0
>debug
Though if the issue also happens without mods you might be better off asking on the official discord
We need more information to help you. Before launching the game again, open the Mod Manager and use the "Generate debug info" option, then send the zip file produced in #help-using-mods. This ensures that your help request won't get buried and forgotten in other, non-help channels!

triggered by @maiklos_26I had a problem with the server, both with vanilla and with mods... Mods, for example, did not install at all. I created them through SteamCMD(
Wait, so are you trying to join mp through steam or trying to use a dedicated server?
Tried in two ways. At the moment the issue is in direct connection without a server.
ok, that explains the presence of all the server logs 👍
Sorry for the extra lines)
I think it's your game's connection to steam which isn't working as expected
have you rebooted since the issues began?
Do you mean reinstall?
no I mean turn your PC off and on again
Because this problem has been going on for 3 days...
yep
*side eyes his 20 days of uptime* of course you've rebooted in 3 days! 😅

Well, in my country at the moment it is impossible to leave a PC on even for 2 days, the electricity is turned off)
My condolences. I'd try verifying your files with the instructions above
I'm already running a check
All files were checked and nothing was installed.
Hm, running low on ideas. Is this crossplay with someone playing on Epic?
No, we are both on steam
Is it better to contact the official game support?
Yeah, I think so

Got it, thanks for the help you provided.
