Upgrading postgresql
Hi Immich 🙂
In the new release you are saying that the postgresql db needs to be upgraded
"We are migrating off the deprecated pgvecto.rs database extension to its successor VectorChord, which comes with performance improvements in almost all aspects. This change is a major milestone we want to perform prior to the stable release."
But im running a postgresql on unraid
tensorchord/pgvecto-rs:pg15-v0.2.0
But i use it for outher things. Dosent they break?

I believe it's saying, just keep vectorchord and pgvecto.rs both installed at the same time for the time being, and it would be specifically removed in the future

Okay what a ride and thanks to Chatgpt. I have now installed a new PostgreSQL16 witth ghcr.io/immich-app/postgres:16-vectorchord0.3.0-pgvectors0.3.0.

Yeap. I just install a new dcoker 16. I used pg_dumpall to backup my DBs and then used chatgpt to import them 🙂 I seems working 🙂 I just dont ahve the cast icon 😦

I just used the CA store and pointed at ghcr.io/immich-app/postgres:16-vectorchord0.3.0-pgvectors0.3.0

Do we still need to use the image with both extensions? (ghcr.io/immich-app/postgres:16-vectorchord0.3.0-pgvectors0.3.0) or can we drop the pgvectors from the image repo?
