Old videos not streaming
Hello, Recently I have transferred almost 11,000 photos and videos from my Google photos but recently I got to know that my old videos 12-13 old weren't able to stream. Just let you know that those videos were recorded from a mobile which has less than 2mp quality

On which platform did they not play?
Web and MacOS
Its working perfectly fine on my iPhone
What format are these videos?
MP4
Hmm that's strange. Could you send MacOS logs to support@ente.io please? We'll have a closer look
Hi I have just sent you the mail please just check it and let me know
Thank You
Thank you for the logs. While the video is MP4, that doesn't necessarily mean that the codec is also supported (mp4 is the video container, inside it the video stream also has a codec that must be supported by the OS/browser). Generally mp4 files use the H.264/H.265 codec, which should be supported, but you mention that these are old videos which were recorded from an older mobile device, so almost certainly these are using an unsupported codec.
We have a new release of the desktop app, 1.7.13, expected soon (hopefully today itself btw!). This brings the ability to generate streams for videos, where the app will try to convert unsupported codecs into a more standard format that should be playable everywhere. So give it a try with the new desktop release once it is out and has completed video processing. More details here - https://help.ente.io/photos/faq/video-streaming
