smm crashes on startup

i already reinstalled it
Solution:
Next idea: * uninstall SMM * go to %appdata% and delete the ficsit, Satisfactory Mod Manager.exe, SatisfactoryMonManager and satisfactory-mod-manager-gui folders if present * go to %localappdata% and delete the same folders if present * reinstall SMM, making sure it is NOT within the game's directory...

looks like something in your profile might have gone wrong - go to %appdata%\ficsit and drop profiles.json here

I don't think that should be the cause of the crash, but that's still an interesting error Crashes won't get saved to the logs unfortunately

right, could be a webview thing then I guess might be worth a try >reinstallwebview

The Webview2 runtime on your system is broken somehow. You can properly clean it up using https://github.com/ShadowWhisperer/Remove-MS-Edge/raw/refs/heads/main/Remove-EdgeWeb.exe, then reinstall it using the Evergreen Bootstrapper from https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/webview2/?form=MA13LH#download. You may need to run the Bootstrapper as admin for it to succeed.

Before you delete %appdata%\ficsit, make a backup of it, it contains your profiles

At least you know which folder to delete to fix it! For recreating your profile - you can get a list of the IDs of the mods in your profile by opening profile.json in there, alternatively loading a save where you don't have the mods installed should tell you what's missing Have you managed to get everything sorted now?
