Grappling Hook

@Asdolg I have been using the grappling hook for a while but when moving at faster speeds, I can crash into my own projectile which stops all of my momentum and can sometimes make me fly into the air. I was wondering if there would be a way to add a setting that either made the projectile no longer interact with players or make it inherit your current speed? Another small thing, would it be possible to make the friction not apply when the grappling hook is above you while on the floor?

Hmm not sure I can do anything with the projectile collision. Because it is intended to hit players, so you can attach yourself to others in multiplayer, I don't think it's possible to make an exception for owner. Inheriting the speed could work though, need to try. How the hell do you even hit such speed that you hit the projectile lol As for friction, yeah Im trying to solve this as we speak, hopefully when I update the mod for 1.1 you'll no longer need to jump to properly take off

To answer your question, I use pulse nobelisks and explosive rebar to get across the map

Hmm I see. There's actually another change Im making, that an attached grapple now tears off if it's stretched too much, to avoid extreme slingshotting; I imagine this can mess up with movement techniques like this. But I don't like forcing stuff on people, so there's also an option to increase the max stretch distance or disable the feature entirely, in case if it feels bad or smth

@Asdolg (GrapplingHook) hello, found a bug, I play the game with master volume 0 (so no sound); but the grapling hook still does sound effects I also tried putting every sound to 0, but still sound effect is playing

Ah right, I need to manually apply volume multipliers to all sounds I use. I'll fix this the next time I do a patch, but for now guess you can just disable game's sound in sound mixer
