Familyshare Multiplayer not working?

How can I connect to another person exactly? Im confused.

Welcome to #support-forum. Before someone helps you, please first consult the information in #TML Troubleshooting Guide and try all the suggestions that might fit your particular issue, especially in the linked FAQ page. If the information in the pinned thread does not solve your issue, please post all log files by dragging and dropping them into this chat. In Steam right click on tModLoader in the library, then hover over Manage and click on Browse local files. In the folder that appears find tModLoader-Logs and open that folder. Inside that folder are the logs files. Select them all except the Old folder and drag them into this chat. Yep it isnt working, its futile. The problem itself is tModLoader not the user, unless this is resolved for people with family share tmodloader, then this issue will remain unresolved.

You need the host's IP address, you are connecting to yourself in that screenshot you posted

Yeah this is not the right IP either, you need the public IP address

Yeah so it looks like the connection is attempted but fails, so in this case the host would need to check their firewall settings to make sure connections aren't blocked, and depending on their internet setup they'd need to port forward port 7777

i dont see why it shouldnt work NOPE i managed to fix it thanks so much dude though I did not use the public ip cuz it ddnt work, only the local one
