App is stuttering

When I do things within Ente like swiping the app stutters a tiny bit. It's hard to notice but once I saw it I couldn't unsee it. Not sure if this is a bug or something to do with my device

Ente Photos does not list any known bugs specifically about minor stuttering or lag during gestures like swiping. However, some performance issues can be related to device settings. For example, on Android, make sure "Optimize battery usage" is not enabled for the Ente app, as this can affect background processes and app performance. On iOS, avoid force quitting the app to ensure smooth background sync. If the stuttering persists, it may be related to your device's performance rather than a bug in Ente Photos. You can check device settings and ensure the app is updated to the latest version for optimal performance. swiping
Hey, are you talking about swiping through photos / videos / tabs / all of them?

All of them, it's not extremely noticeable but it's a bit choppy

Does it happen even 10+ seconds after app start, when operations like upload, sync, etc. would have settled down?

It does, it might be related to that thumbnail issue we talked about in #photos now that I think of it The refresh rate seems to be more like 60 than 120 The more I look at it the more I think I'm hallucinating 😅

I'll mark it as solved for now since it's probably an optimization issue or a bug which doesn't belong here tbf my bad I'll check it again once gallery improvements have been shipped
