✅ Good resources to understand complex classes

I’m coming from C where I didn’t use classes. All of the classes videos I’ve watch only show basic usage but now I am looking at real code and they have a bunch of classes nested with multiple classes in a file and I’m not even sure what can be access where. Any tips/ resource recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

it's generally done when maintainer want to create stuff and want some double nesting + private to prevent anyone from accessing it

so if you're trying to understand the code and don't care about the nesting and scope

you could just remove the nesting and flatten it all and make everything internal or public (just for code comprehension)

in general, the way code is split into files in C# is meaningless to the compiler

what matters is the visibility given to the class with publicpublic internalinternal protectedprotected privateprivate and filefile keywords

public - accessible to any code inside and outside of the project
internal - accessible to any code inside the project
protected - only for nested classes, accessible by derived classes
private - only for nested classes, only accessible in the class it's defined in
file - only accessible in in the file it's defined in
