iOS app loading exceptionally slow (iOS 26B2)
This happens even when local thumbnails are disabled. This does not happen on a device with NO local photos.
Issue is the title basically, The loading of the app stutters and scrolling doesn't work. Let the app rest for about a min and it's snappy and responsive. My library is about 2TB of photos of all sorts including a large external library full of Sony ARWs. Although as i mentioned the issue does not occur on devices with an empty local photo library.

I am going to get a mac soon so i am happy to contribute to debugging ecetera. For a temporary fix, deleting all the local photos on my phone would be an option but it's not really ideal for me.
Asside, i am so happy to be able to self-host photos in this way, This app is fantastic and i am looking forward to supporting it's development and contributing to it's success. NextCloud photos was not cutting it lol.

If this ticket can be closed you can use the /close command, and re-open it later if needed.Docker Compose is stock + an external library, .env is just a database. upload storage is a remote NAS cluster but it's not related the issue

This is a pretty intensive work that required internal collaboration, so unfortunately there is not much for external contributors to work on about this topic
Is there a timeline? It’s fairly unusable unless I often delete all local photos on my phone

Not a large amount of albums
But my external library has many Folders
Also, not sure if it’s planned or not. But a “clear local storage” button, like google photos, would be very nice
As long as it’s clearly communicated to the user that the implication is that there is now only one copy of the files it’s okay imo
