so matchAdapt autolayout for schematics is starting to work. I want to make it the default for tscircuit (without the user even needing to do matchAdapt) so that people can hopefully stop doing schX/schY To make sure it works well, i want to make it so that the sparkfun boards repo groups try to use schX/schY where possible, and where it doesn't work we file an issue in the schematic-corpus repo You can't use matchAdapt on large groups yet, so this only works for small groups, usually only with 1 central chip CC @shibo @Abse

is the matchAdapt uses traces to autolayout ?
Seve
SeveOP•3mo ago
it doesn't currently load traces from the corpus

so it doesn't see them

are you putting these "islands" in different groups?
Abse
Abse•3mo ago
I didn't use groups yet lol
Seve
SeveOP•3mo ago
yea you have to use groups
Abse
Abse•3mo ago
ok got it

SeveOP•3mo ago
it does each part in a separate group eventually we can do bigger things but it's already a complex algorithm so i'm trying to simplify the initial workload

Abse•3mo ago
ok do I need to remove the schX and schY for the components
