Grapple not working as expected in Smart Cursor mode
In-Game Issue1.4.4 VersionHi, I tried out tModLoader for the first time today, and I noticed that grappling seems to work differently from vanilla Terraria.
In tModLoader, when Smart Cursor mode is active (via toggle) and an object is highlighted, pushing the Grapple button does nothing.
In Terraria, in the same situation, pushing Grapple launches the hook in the direction of the mouse cursor (expected behavior).
When Smart Cursor mode is inactive, or when it's active but no object is highlighted, Grapple in tModLoader behaves like in vanilla Terraria.
I am playing on Steam Deck/Linux with the latest versions of both apps. I tried forcing tModLoader to use the Steam Linux runtime with no change.
I also followed the directions in the FAQ and:
- Disabled all mods and resource packs
- Verified file integrity for both apps
- Reset config.json and input profiles.json for both
I tested with two different character saves with the same results.
I don't see any issues on the Github about this. I'm wondering if I should keep troubleshooting on my end, or if this is potentially a bug or limitation of tModLoader?
