Mod Manager
I received a notification this morning while playing Satisfactory that there are 2 mods that needed updating. After updating the 2 mods, the game crashes when opening. Please help. When I disable the mod manager the game works but when enabling the mod manager the game crashes...

We need more information to help you. Before launching the game again, open the Mod Manager and use the "Generate debug info" option, then send the zip file produced here in this channel.
If you need to access older log files, see https://docs.ficsit.app/satisfactory-modding/latest/faq.html#Files_Logs
What 2 mods did you update?
I know one of the mods was the Satisfactory Mod Loader...

Hi everyone. I've done the about numerous times. I Uninstalled and Reinstalled the mod manager AND the Satisfactory game. If I start the game through Steam then it runs but when I add just one mod and start it through the Mod Manager then the game crashes immediately. This is starting to annoy me now. ..
This is the error I get...

I disabled all my mods in the mod manager and then started the game, it opened. As soon as I activated only the satisfactory mod loader, the game crashes...
chat gpt says that the sml is not compatible with the current game version...

ChatGPT and other LLMs are not useful as a resource for writing mods in this community. There are highly specific implementation details that are not widely available in their training data, so their algorithm will not have access to the correct information. Please remember that LLMs are a giant guessing machine that are only as good as what's put in.
Referring to our documentation and asking real people who have actually written mods and/or the tools surrounding them is guaranteed to be the best way to get help.
Generate another debug log right after the crash and upload it here

Turn all mods off and close SMM, then go to
%localappdata%\ficsit\downloadCache
and delete all files there
Open SMM again and turn all mods back onStill crashes 🤦♂️
Also note, LLMs are not able to tell you they don't know an answer. They will always give an answer, even if it has absolutely no basis in reality.
