Remote Factory

I saw the update for Remote Factory, and thought I'd give it a try, mainly for the statistics. Whether I build the machine or use /rf, either way immediately spikes my uobject count by nearly a million and tanks my frame rate. Makes it unusable. Anyone else?

@Andre Aquila <Aquila Industrial> fyi I'm guessing a certain amount of uobjects are gonna be necessary for the mod to function but that does sound like a lot! Could be due to an interaction with another mod, can you post a debug log shortly after placing it please? >debug

We need more information to help you. Before launching the game again, open the Mod Manager and use the "Generate debug info" option, then send the zip file produced in #help-using-mods. This ensures that your help request won't get buried and forgotten in other, non-help channels! Hey HelloCity! Hmm. Seems like the search bar adds a temporary uobject for every item built on the factory. Disabling the checkbox "Enable auto search" can help a bit. Showing less buildings in the list should reduce the uobjects too.

Thanks for responding, Andre! Disabling "Enable auto search" didn't make a noticeable difference. Still adds 950k uobjects on "/rf". Unchecking a box such as "Fluid Buffer" added an additional 900k uobjects, and I don't have very many fluid buffers. I think I'm just not meant to have stats in this game; HTML Factory Report and SifVerT's Factory Statistics don't work either.

Aargh. 950k !!! its really high. I think the way these mods are built, they will always look into every single buildings generating an uobject for each one. I will keep thinking about it, if i find a way i let you know! 🙂
