New to C# and I want to learn more.
Back nin my college courses I took a few classes for programing but it really just was boiled down to 'Read the book and do what it says' which wasn't the best outcome for me. I passed my classes with a D+ and eventaully graduated but it always bothered me that I couldn't fully get programing language. I wanted to learn game animation first and foremost so I learned just enough of C# not to be lost when someone was talking about programing.
But after being in my job in hardware for two years, and getting my animation skills to a point that's pretty good professionally, I want to learn more. I took some code academy classes to refresh myself and it's still there in my head but some of the more advanced things still are hard to understand.
A friend at my work was kind enough to give me some programing books and told me to download visual studio and I should be good. I'm still going through the opening chapters but it still feels a little.....much?
Is this normal? I want to learn more and dedicate some actual time and effort into this so I can hopefully get a job doing something I like, and despite how rocky introduction I really do want to learn this.
