Switching from google photos

Hello, I synced my photos with the ente app, but I wanted to also include photos stored with google photos. If I import my google takeout archive to ente, will there be duplicates?

Ente performs duplicate detection during uploads and also has a manual deduplication feature to remove duplicates across albums. See https://help.ente.io/photos/features/deduplicate for more information. When importing from Google Photos using Google Takeout, it's important to note that Google splits the photo and metadata JSON files across separate zip files. To ensure Ente can correctly read the metadata, unzip all Google Takeout zips into a single folder before importing that folder into Ente. More details can be found at https://help.ente.io/photos/faq/metadata#importing-from-google-takeout. -# If your issue is resolved, feel free to use the /solved command to close this thread.
