New Wiki Lacking Permissions
I got an approval for a new wiki earlier today, except my account doesn't have permissions to edit anything so I'm unable to do anything with it. Could somebody ensure that my account has the proper admin permissions?

I think I've stopped the issue happening in future
but I won't be able to retroactively fix it without knowing your wiki

Hi, I just started a new wiki (https://literarycartography.wikioasis.org/wiki/Main_Page) but I do not have permissions to create new pages.
I'll manually fix it now but I'm working on a fix that should fix it all
I'm not sure what the underlying cause is but afaik I've found a workaround that should work until someone who knows more about mediawiki can fix it

It is an odd issue, I checked my permissions before hand and it seemed like I had the required ones.
I've written a script to fix it lol but anyway

@Thomas I've finally gotten some time to start editing the wiki and, despite me now having the permissions needed to edit the page, its telling me that my edits are spam and I should contact an administrator? Am I not an administrator?
that's a global filter
make a few edits like adding random letters
and once you get past 4 edits it should fix it afaik

@Thomas sorry for the ping again, but is there any chance you could check the group permissions for my site? anonymous members currently can only view the main page and not any of the other pages ive made and i cant find anything in the wiki settings that could be affecting it

would that be in special:managewiki/permissions -> everyone -> unassigned permissions? ive looked around in there a few times and i cant find anything that gives the impression it would change that
all of what i can find online says its a LocalSettings.php setting, which i dont think i have access to 🤔
also the filepath for uploads got broken it seems? wont let me upload files

ah i found it! i was looking under the everyone category when it was really under the users category

while im configuring things and running into walls, i have both the PageImages and OpenGraphMeta extensions installed, but i cant really confirm if theyre both working. from my understanding, both of these plugins working together should allow for the first image to embed when the page link is posted elsewhere, but i havent had any luck with that so far. using the
__PAGEIMAGE= magic word on a page also defaults it to using plain text, so im led to believe the extension isnt working properly?I’ll add it to my list of things to check
