Missing Photos
Anyone know how to fix these photos? I share Immich with my wife and I believe these may have been from her Google takeout a while ago. I don't mind losing the photos, but would like to get rid of these missing ones. Can the database be rebuilt? Any suggestions would be welcome

If this ticket can be closed you can use the /close
command, and re-open it later if needed. Can you download them?
I cannot. They can't be shared either
Anything in the logs regarding those?
How do I inspect for those photos specifically?
You just try to open / download and check the logs
There is no mechanism for removing missing files, if they really are gone you can just delete them from immich if you don't mind
Makes sense
I will try that
Thank you
Will upload the logs once I get home
Not sure if this helps?
Yes and no :p
It's complaining it can't find the thumbs
If the asset itself doesn't exist that would make sense of course
You can try to regenerate the thumbnails: three dot menu top right, one of the bottom options
If that complains about the asset missing then you know what to do 👀
Makes sense. Is there a way to see all of the broken ones together? Just makes it easier to clean up
Is there a way to rebuild the entire library?
Because I have found the missing photos on my system
Some are working and some aren't.

Same folder
But can't view both for some reason

This is the log when I try to download this one
You could try the "replace" function
but I can clearly see that these are 2 different locations
This is the log for downloading this one
one is your download the other is your internal library, no?
download = google takeout
They both are from google takeout orignially
And they now both live in the same folder on my system
Yes but the immich path is
/data/library/Josh/2023/2023-08-18
Where as the path you found them on is ???/2023/Pixel/2023-08-18
it's the same file for one of them because you uploaded them of course, but this is not hte same folderTrue actually
I'll fix those paths on immich
Is there a way to then rebuild the library on immich?
Are you sure you want to "fix the path" because it just sounds like the asset actually is missing 😛
No the internal library cant' just be rebuild
Think I got sorted
Thanks for the catch
Photos on a different location
Adding them an an external location
Now I think I'll just need to delete the broken ones...
