Weird blue Vines/Spikes covering in-game screen and causing massive lag.

For a couple of days i've managed to deal with this issue just fine by switching to retro lighting which made it dissapear for some reason, but recently it also happened with retro lighting, i have no idea why htis is happening does anyone have any ideas? I did see another post about this but it wasnt answered there.
