Bootloading nice!nano

Hi, I’m trying to put my nice!nano into bootloader mode, but double-tapping the reset button doesn’t work. The LED doesn’t change and it doesn’t show up as a drive. What else can I try?

If double-tapping the reset button isn’t working, here are the main things you can try: 1. Check the basics
– Make sure you’re using a data-capable USB cable (some charging cables don’t transmit data).
– Try a different USB port or a different computer.
2. Manual reset with tweezers
– On the nice!nano, there are pins labeled RST (reset) and GND (ground).
– You can use a pair of metal tweezers to quickly short RST to GND twice in a row (double-tap). This is the same as pressing the reset button twice.
– The board should then enter bootloader mode and show up as a NICENANO drive. 3. If it still won’t enter bootloader
– The bootloader itself may need to be reflashed. In this case, follow Nice!Keyboards’ official troubleshooting guide: https://nicekeyboards.com/docs/nice-nano/troubleshooting#my-nicenano-seems-to-be-acting-up-and-i-want-to-re-flash-the-bootloader
Here’s our step‑by‑step doc as well: Entering the Bootloader. Give those a try and let me know how it goes — if it still isn’t showing up, we can dig deeper.
