External Library to normal back up

Hello All, new Immich user here and had a question reagarding a weird scenario im in. I originally added roughly 35k+ images by means of external library, becuase uploading them normally through the IOS Immich app would freeze. that was roughly a Year ago. Now, I am attempting to upload them normally and it seems to be working. My question, If I just upload them normally through the app (if it continues working) can I just remove the external library and all will be good?

Yeah, but it won't retain any albums you've added them to etc

So when I remove the external library all those photos will go away that were in the external library? Which is what I want to happen, I want all the photos on the external library to be removed as I am adding them through the normal upload process

When deleting an external library (through Immich External Library Management in UI): - Immich deletes corresponding asset records from the database - and purges their thumbnails, previews, encoded videos and so on from disk. Space occupied by thumbnails&co is freed up. Deleting thumbnails and so on in handleAssetDeletion: https://github.com/immich-app/immich/blob/f15376a107f5cab7acca9ad8968afa6a0f9caaf2/server/src/services/asset.service.ts#L252-L259 Original files on disk will not be removed when you delete an external library in Immich UI.

const files = [thumbnailFile?.path, previewFile?.path, fullsizeFile?.path, asset.encodedVideoPath];

if (deleteOnDisk) {
files.push(asset.sidecarPath, asset.originalPath);
