My whole project is down, on AUTH I get failed to fetch. DB looks good, haven’t changed anything. Are we offline?

Ok after further investigation, it works fine when I have VPN on, I haven’t changed anything, my ip is not restricted so I’m not sure what’s going, any advise please?
are you from uae?
In which region are you located now?
UAE yes
Is there any solution for this, I literally am launching today…
is supabase down in UAE?
It would likely be your ISP blocking access to the service if using a VPN works.
I am also from the UAE and I am having the same issue
Can everyone in this thread clarify which region their Supabase servers are location at please?
India
Everything was working fine
Had to change dns settings to get through and it’s still very unstable
South Asia (Mumbai) AWS t4g.micro
Never happened before, I’ve asked other friends to try on different networks and devices and it works, also tried 5G and that works too
Restating project, router and devices didn’t work
If you have any free projects slot available can you create one in a different region to see if you get the same result?

I had to do this
Ok so when you use 1.1.1.1 dns from cloudflare it resolves.
And this fixed it, but I’m scared my clients have the same issue, it’s literally my launch day 😂😂😂

Do you all also have a support ticket opened with Supabase?
No
Yeah this might not be a solution if a ISP in the UAE is blocking requests to a Supabase server.
I’m on a paid plan, extra projects will be at a cost as I used my free slots already
Open a support ticket please and report back here with the support ticket number.
SU-241293.
support ticket number is SU-241250
i am in UAE and using supabase server of Singapore
If you have any free projects slot available can you create a project in a different region to see if you get the same result?
my project is working while using web proxy/vpn
i shifted to Pro plan this morning to get support help, until now no response though.
Creating new new project cost me $10
You can create a new free organisation and then create a project there which will be free. You only pay for more projects if they are inside of your pro plan organisation.
which server location should i chose in that case
You can choose one in Europe
Ahhh, guess i have to set up the whole authentication frontend and backend in the newly created project to test that right ?
You can just use any of the examples here https://github.com/silentworks/supabase-by-example/tree/main

The SQL is in there too to setup the tables and a seed file with dummy users
i am a vibe coder (Bolt"er), no background of coding or development, i seriously have no clue what to do with this example git repo.
Ok I guess you would have to setup a project the way you know how to then
Are we not getting help unless we do this free project?
I’m a CTO
And I have no time for this guys
My product is down
You have enough info to troubleshoot and give us an updated
Seriously..
You are asking a user like yourself for help and you are telling that user he has enough information for troubleshooting.
You lost me 😅
Are you a community member? Not supabase staff?
I'm a user like yourself, I'm not Supabase staff.
Aaah sorry mate
My bad
This is a user helping user platform.
This is why I asked you to open a Support request with Supabase.
Got it, thank you for your support
Also the issue seems more of an ISP issue than a Supabase issue since others from other region are able to access your project.
Yea but it happened out of no where, everything was fine till last night, but I get your point
Yeah but no one would have control over what an ISP blocks, not even Supabase.
I asked about setting up a free project in another region just to make sure it's specifically the Mumbai server getting blocked first. This also could help others in setting up their project in another region to make it accessible again.
All the information I gather here I am reporting back through a channel we have to escalate issues with the Supabase team. This is likely the same information Supabase support would ask for except it would be less realtime than our interactions here.
Got it, appreciate you
I will give it a go
Thanks for your understanding. Also sorry for this inconvenience and I understand it can be frustrating when these things happen.
Not your fault and sorry again for my atttidue
@silentworks have you heard anything back by any chance?
@silentworks how long can we expect supabase team to attend to this issue and possibly resolve it
I wouldn’t know how long but as I’ve mentioned before this seems like an ISP issue and not a Supabase issue so they won’t be able to resolve your ISP.
Just thinking out loud before migrating, if the domains are being blocked (confirmed), shall I assign my own domain?
It would be the IP address rather than the domain. If you assign your own domain it would be the same IP unless you are using a reverse proxy service.
We had an update from another user facing this issue that they reached out to the ISP and the ISP has said they blocked the
supabase.co domain. The ISP in question is Etisalat.
The Supabase team are looking into how they can resolve this with the ISP at the moment.Yup, it is Etisalat indeed, tried with some friends also, I’ve also requested an unblock on their website but I’m sure that won’t take me anywhere. Will wait till the am, then will see what to do. Thanks again
i have got this email from supabase team yesterday evening;
Hey,
We’ve seen several reports from users in the UAE, specifically those on Etisalat, where Supabase instances are not reachable.
Based on early feedback, this appears to be an ISP-level routing issue and not a Supabase outage, though we’re still working to confirm. If possible, we recommend testing with a different ISP or VPN as a temporary workaround.
They have reached out to Etisalat to try and resolve this issue. You can follow the status page for updates https://status.supabase.com/incidents/spyxwjqn7d2f
@silentworks many thanks for your support and updates.
Can i ask you if using free web proxy services like https://coproxy.io/free-web-proxy/ would be safe to use, or it can potentially compromise the security of the supabase data API calls and authentication credentials?
CoProxy
Free Web Proxy - CoProxy
Safely access blocked sites, like Facebook and YouTube unblocked, with CoProxy's free web proxy. Secure and anonymous browsing for everyone.
I wouldn't trust it with users JWTs passing through it. I'd just setup my own reverse proxy server on the same server my application is running on.
Anyone here using the session pooler or transaction pooler? are you affected too by this since it uses the
supabase.com domain rather then the .co domain?@silentworks The issues still persists and its already week past, i didnt expect such kind of support from Supabase
Is there any way you can push for it
What are you expecting me to push? they have been alerted by us of the situation and have updated their status page and mentioned that they have reached out to the ISPs. If the ISPs aren't responding or being punctual what do you expect Supabase to do? If your ISP blocks you from your internet banking system and you cannot access your internet banking system what would you expect your bank to do after reaching out to the ISP?
@silentworks I am sorry if i have said anything wrong.
Btw i had reached out to Regulators 'TDRA ' in UAE to complain about this and they have responded as follows;
Case Number BUB-25-100000XX2
Case Date 9/9/2025 12:51:44 PM
Closed Date 9/10/2025 9:53:43 AM
Rejection Reason Dear Applicant, Kindly note that the URL is not blocked on either the Etisalat or Du networks. Please check with your service provider. Thank you for contacting TDRA.
Nobody is taking the ownership and users like us are significantly affected and figuring out move out plans from supabase.
Which URL did you ask about in this regards as it’s not stated in their reply email to you?
supabase.co
Ok I’ll forward this update to the Supabase team. Thanks for sharing this information here.
