Mistake with the sign up

I was trying to do a school project for one of my courses. The instructions said to login with SSO email but I did it with my Github account. Now, I tried to delete my account but it says its gonna do that in 30 days. I fear even if I do my work using this, I'll lose my work after 30 days. I reached out to the support team and instead of helping free users, they directed me here.
