this is definitely better, not sure what dirs look like but i do like it more. The bolding of the selected file is good but it's changing the horizontal size- i would see if you can somehow prevent that from happening w/ css I would remove the current directory text, it's also wrong because it's showing a file and not a directory. The original spec said to have a subtitle representing the directory name above the "..", by putting it above the search box you're making it unclear that board1, board2.tsx etc. refer to files in that directory

Yes it should be “./boards” and should be grayed with some kind of subtitle separation, other issues i mentioned still in place

There are generally two subtitle separation types, a light gray bg or a small gray bottom line Yea sure as long as there’s a leading slash Idk we could skip the leading slash idk that much, very unimportant relative to other itrms

neither of the subtitle indicators are correct, you MUST look at design references for this stuff, don't guess you should align icons for folder/file and use a different color for folder to differentiate You should put the collapsing carat for folders on the right side

AI can even generate a design reference, the underlining for the subtitle section is correct here

an alternative is to gray the background colort always always always have a design reference and you can paste the design references here we're engineers not designers, so we use design references to copy design communication patterns

yes you can see the two styles here see the subtitles/section titles? probably the bottom border is the best approach for us here
