How to boost metadata extraction

Hi there. I've got a good setup to run Immich, with a remote ML container with GPU accelaration enabled. Database and pictures are hosted on a Synology NAS DS218+. I'm in the process of migrating my >100k assets to Immich, but I find that the "metadata extraction" job takes forever. More than 36 hours to process 2000 files. I've been struggling to find out which step of this job is slow, but I can't find any info. Lookig at the logs, there is nothing obvious there. If anyone has an idea or any personal feedback ?
