Do not make Albums

Hi Everyone, Just started using Ente and have a questions regarding Albums. Let's say I have a folder on my Android Device called Faceboook and I save photos from Facebook into that folder. I select that folder as a backup and Ente automatically makes an Album called Facebook containing all the photos. Can I have those photos not placed within an album, like Google Photos would copy them to Photos and not put them in an Album? TIA

When you upload photos to Ente using the desktop app, you have options for how to handle albums. If you upload a folder without any nested folders, the app will ask if you want to upload the files to an existing Ente album or create a new album. See details here: https://help.ente.io/photos/features/albums#uploading-files-or-a-folder-without-nesting If the folder you're uploading has nested folders and you select the option to create a new album, you can choose to create a single album or separate albums. "Single album" will create one Ente album with the same name as the folder and sync all files there. "Separate albums" will create separate albums for each nested folder. More details are available here: https://help.ente.io/photos/features/albums#uploading-a-nested-folder -# If your issue is resolved, feel free to use the /solved command to close this thread. Thanks for the reply. You say "when you upload photos to Ente using the desktop app". What about from an Android Device, which is where I'm having the issue.
