Upgrading from v1.120.2 to latest

Hey everyone! I'm still running Immich v1.120.2 (yeah, I know it's ancient 😅) and I've got a fresh instance of the latest version spun up. What's the safest/easiest way to migrate my photos and data over? Looking for the path of least resistance here - don't want to lose anything in the process. Will the usual backup and restore process work or will there be completability issues? Thanks!

Hello! You can't backup and restore into a newer version. I think since you have a older working instance the path of least resistance is to just update

Use that link. Check out all the breaking changes between your version and latest. Go through each and apply. Take backups along the way
