Supabase Dashboard is slow
Hi,
I am on the pro plan and from time to time the supabase dashboard is extremely slow. It takes ages to load (5 mins). It is impossible to work. It feels like a throttling. It also impacts my webapp I developed, so I cannot fetch any data.
Usually this happens in the evening.
Only Supabase is impacted. All other websites work seamlessly.
I have 500 Mbit/s download and 100 Mbit/s upload speed.
MacOS26, 48GB Memory.
It is really solely when working with Supabase. Nothing else seems to impacted. It is also nothing constant. This throttling comes for like 1-2 hours and later it is gone again.

Have you looked in the logs for those time frames?
Check your Dashboard usage reports and usage from settings to see if memory, CPU, Disk I/O is "maxed"?
Even the usage reports take ages to load.
The usage report in project settings takes 3 minutes to load
Unless you have some logs or reports not much help (if even then) you are going to get here unless a user has encountered this and knows a solution.
Support would probably be best option if you have no useful reports/error logs as they can see your instance.
You could try a VPN to rule out some ISP/network issue, but I'm skeptical it is that.
My application is not live yet. It is single tenant. Usage reports shows <1% of my quota. I might just open a support ticket
I am not even sure where to look, because I don't have any errors
There are graphs for CPU, memory and disk I/O over time. If those show a spike when slow then that is a clue to figure out what is going on during that time period.
It is related to my network / ISP. I switched to a mobile hotspot and everything is fast again. With what kind of actions could I make supabase throttling me?
Sorry, I don't know why a network would be slow for just Supabase. Typically you would not get requests thru with errors for ISP type issues specific to a domain.
Normally the dashboard code is pulled from a Supabase server near you.
What general area are you located and where is your instance located?
Plus latency issues should slightly slower and not 100x or more slower.
I am located in Germany and the instance is too. CPU and Memory was never >50%
Same issue is happening for me too.
Are you also in Germany? Does a VPN solve it for you?
You issue is dashboard is taking minutes to respond but does without error?
If so maybe exchange providers here to see if common.
No outage on status page.
Telekom. Mobile Hotspot is Vodafone
It is like 3-4 per day. Then it is back to normal
I will take a video if it happens again and post it here
Once again, not much we can do here but see if other users have ideas or collect info if a mass issue.
Support is still likely way to go especially if your app is also impacted during these periods.

Other mentions of Telekom.
Supabase is reachable, but everything takes minutes to load.
Same here. In Germany, Supabase in Germany, awfully slow to load, disabled all browser extensions, cleared cache, etc
I'll try out using a mobile hotspot to see if it makes any difference. My provider is MNet
incredible. After switching to my mobile hotspot (Telekom) Supabase web ui now works fast
I would make sure all of you have filed support requests and drop your ticket numbers here in case this gets escalated. They may be seeing more of these than this thread as I'm not seeing much elsewhere.
Still have not heard from @Ali Sufiyan on location and if exact same issue and if apps are impacted also.
Having different providers does not help with isolating the issue unfortunately.
12 hours later, it is fast with my MNet connection again. So guessing it is something that happens intermittently
its working for me fine too my location is pakistan and using the server ap-southeast-1
but its fine now yesterday it was not even loading anything had to wait for single page to load for like 5-10mints
It is from time to time
