I simply want to back up my Supabase stuff
i've used the ai, ChatGPT, and every option I can find in project settings.
Absolutely nothing works. I'd imagine this would be the single most common task on Supabase. Why isn't it a simple large button somewhere?
I'm using powershell on w11, because that's what's available.
I'm hosting a site on Hostinger, but a db on Supabase.
i'm obeying my robot overlord ChatGPT to see if I can actually write a website using ai.
after 3 months of 18 hour days.....nope. it's not even something complex. anyway, what is a reliable way to get me a copy of everything off supabase to add to a zip of the site to feed to the ai to proof..... "proof"?

the database has backups taken of it do you mean backup your entire project?
I don't know. I guess so. If there are backups automatically taken. how do i access those?
database backups are found in https://supabase.com/dashboard/project/_/database/backups/scheduled
there are no project backups that i am aware off, a lot of things can be checked into git though
free plan does not include project backups.
if you upgrade to pro most people have got their recent database backups within 7 days
You can use PSQL on your local machine and use pg_dump to get an sql backup file. It will not include settings or storage file data.
OH!? is that an app?
You can search the web. You install postgres locally and it then runs in the command line.
ALSO if you install the Supabase CLI (or have for local dev) it has a dump command also to give you a back file.

OK, installing all of that. reading docs. Thank you for this. I haven't been this angry in decades.
