PostgresError: password authentication.
Hello all,
I have a fresh installation of Immich.
My Immich server container keeps restarting and when I look in the container logs, I get this:
Container logs: https://pastebin.com/9S1MHjSL
My compose file: https://pastebin.com/S8GmScb2
My env file: https://pastebin.com/f4fbJ16F
I am using the Compose plugin on Openmediavault (similar to Portainer).
This is just set up locally at the moment but I will reverse proxy once working.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Nick.

If this ticket can be closed you can use the /close
command, and re-open it later if needed.Did you only just install Immich or have you been running it for longer?
I just installed it.
Then just deleting the postgres data should fix this. Do note that will wipe out anything you've done in Immich so far
Thanks, @bo0tzz - so just delete everything in
DB_DATA_LOCATION=/NAS/AppData/immichdb
?
... then spin it up again?yeah
Thanks very much - will try that when I get home later. Much appreciated 🙂
Is that a network mount?
No, just a symlink.
You can't use a symlink there
Oh, really?
I will put the
/srv/dev-disk-by-label-...
path there instead then.
What about the UPLOAD_LOCATION=
?Same, docker volumes don't work in a way that you can put symlinks in
I use symlinks in all my other compose files.
Uhm what about.... mounting the disk? 👀
Are you sure it's actually putting files in the places where you'd expect them to be?
Apologies, this is the first time I have ever used environment variables, perhaps I am getting something totally wrong. I think the disks are already mounted by Openmediavault and file systems are showing up. Here is what I have inside my directories for
DB_DATA_LOCATION
, (UPLOAD_LOCATION
is empty)

I did have Immich up and running when not using the plugin (similar to Portainer), but I am sure all is correct there.
