Error in streamVNext generate: Unknown error
I have a mastra cloud instance that is giving this cryptic error. Locally everything works. Not sure how to debug..

A deployment ID: e0ee3e86-3950-405c-a39f-3ff8112860f1
Note that I am using this API endpoint: /api/agents/${AGENT_ID}/stream/vnext/ui`,
which strangely doesn't show up when I look at the API section of my cloud instance, tho it does locally
@Abhi Aiyer maybe you can unstuck me!
Hi @flippyhead ! Are you still running into this issue?
Yes. Just now deploying an earlier version of mastra to try to pin it down. The error message isnt very useful !
Were you using the latest release (from today)?
That release should fix the "unknown error"
"@mastra/core": "^0.19.1",
"@mastra/libsql": "^0.15.0",
"@mastra/loggers": "^0.10.14",
"@mastra/memory": "^0.15.4",
"@mastra/pg": "^0.17.0",
"@mastra/rag": "^1.2.7",
and
"mastra": "^0.13.4",
@Romain I'll do a full update to confirm
@Romain yep, All Mastra packages are already at their latest stable versions:
@mastra/core: 0.19.1 ✓
@mastra/pg: 0.17.0 ✓
@mastra/rag: 1.2.7 ✓
@mastra/libsql: 0.15.0 ✓
@mastra/loggers: 0.10.14 ✓
@mastra/memory: 0.15.4 ✓
mastra (CLI): 0.13.4 ✓
and still getting that error, not sure how to diagnose
Maybe it's a mismatch with my client-js
Hmm, I'll have to check with the cloud team, is your project slug still
screeching-sparse-greece ?
If you could share the latest deployment id, I could pass that to the team as well@Romain thank you. Yes it is. Latest deploymentId : 5a114f79-1581-4caa-960d-10f5952fbd3d
And again, it works locally
I am on latest stable. I guess I could try alpha
Thanks I forwarded the deployment info to the team 😉
@flippyhead well trying again this morning the error has mysteriously changed to:
Error in streamNetwork generate: getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND base
so that's progress
confusingly the vnext/stream/ui API endpoint is NOT listed on mastra cloud, tho it is in development on the same version of mastra
if that matters
ahem, welp ... I fixed it.
So just to close this out:
1) I pasted in env vars, all at once. Somehow my postgres connection value ended up with the key in the value field (i.e. the value was KEY="value") -- I guess I could have done this myself, but I swear I just pasted the entire file..
2) The error I received at first streamVNext generate: Unknown error, making it super hard to understand
3) The recent error gave me a clue and I checked thisI'll check with the team about this 😉
I'm glad you were able to fix your issue
so, just to confirm, updating to latest was still giving you the "unknown error"?
No that then changed to
getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND
so one minor version before it was hard to diagnose but current latest had a better hint
tho it is still fairly cryptic
