project not working after being restored
basically that, yesterday in the morning I got an email from supabase telling me about my project being paused, so today I opened the dashboard to restore it and I didn't pay to much attention to it because is not the first time a project of mine gets paused but then I realized that it's failing to restore my DB, matter of fact the connection to the DB is failing

You could try to restart the instance, but you will probably need to contact support. Make sure to flag PAUSE RESTORE issue.
You could also check the PostgREST logs and see if there is some issue with the schema cache, but your error seem "lower level" than that.
restarted it 3 times, i already tried to contact support but not with that title
What do you mean you tried?
Did you get a ticket number email back?
How long ago?
free plan so it just say that is not guaranteed that i will have an answer
"Failed to load the schema cache. {"code":"PGRST000","details":"connection to server at \"localhost\" (::1), port 5432 failed: Connection refused\n\tIs the server running on that host and accepting TCP/IP connections?\nconnection to server at \"localhost\" (127.0.0.1), port 5432 failed: Connection refused\n\tIs the server running on that host and accepting TCP/IP connections?\n","hint":null,"message":"Database connection error. Retrying the connection."}"
If that is all from just trying to restart the instance and not from your app, then nothing anyone here can do. This is a user helping user forum and not monitored regularly by Supabase.
Supabase support is looking for Pause Restore issues right now with I think AI, or at least keyword screening in support issues as there are more of these issues recently.
How long since you submitted the ticket?
Pro plans are running 1 day or more right now for this.
oh okay
i saw some other people are facing the same issue
so i guess is on them, i just dont want to lose my tables and data
yes, that is why I said to have the title clear on what the issue is.
They are looking for these issues right now, but don't read every ticket on free.
They are looking for keywords like I suggested to move them higher up automatically.
Not sure how you described your issue but generate a new ticket if you did not say Paused Restore stuck or not working or similar.
okay good catch, justd did that
created a new ticket specifying the pause restore issue
Thanks. Make sure to watch https://status.supabase.com/ also if your instance region is impacted. Lots of new users lately and AWS being pushed hard. When project is paused it is just a backup. So to restore a new AWS instance has to be created. But your error is somewhat unique from what I've seen.

from what i have seen i think im not the only one facing this, it seems that the database instance is failing to boot
my region is na east
There are constant random reports of this. Which is why I mentioned some key words support is looking for or has automation looking for.
@dd3 I see you posting in another thread. Are you still down?
If so drop your ticket # and I can get someone to see if it made it the infra queue or got lost in support.
yes its still down, i tried to pause it again to see if restoring it would do something but it actually made it worst because its stuck in pausing forever
SU-260196
SU-257228
made 2 because one was when the project failed to restore and the other was because it was stuck in pausing
K. I'll let my contact know. All they can do though is make sure not stuck in support versus on to infra queue which is still long from my understanding.
What region? Hopefully not EU.
us east 1
thank you i appreciate it a lot
its funny because i need this project to run in 2 days
max in 1 week and 2 days, its been running for months now
but i need to do a presentation for my thesis
otherwise i will be denied to opt for my college title lmao
thinking about recreating it with another postgresql db
When you get back up make another instance or local copy so you have a backup plan.
do you think my data is safe?
kinda scared of that
Your current project data is not lost in these things.
But even if it is stuck in support and moves to infra I have no idea the time to resolve for them. Just means it is not lost in the Free plan support queue.
oh okay
It is in the infra queue.
i hope they fix it quick, i would pay if they ask me for it lol
apreciate the information, thanks again
