Best way to fix my mistake setting up external libraries

I use icloud_photos_downloader to pull photos on my server. My setup consists of a mini PC that uses a separate NAS for long-term storage through an NFS network share.

I made the mistake of pulling photos to a local folder on my mini PC and not directly on the NAS. I then mounted the folder as a volume in my Immich compose file and added it as external library to Immich. Immich works perfectly fine, recognizes the paths and I can see all files as expected.

As soon as I noticed my mistake I copied over the folder to my NAS, but as Immich has already scanned that folder, I wonder what's the best way to "move" the location it sees to the folder located on the NAS, ideally without having to rescan the whole folder or losing some additional metadata (stars, favorites, faces, machine learning things, tags, etc.), if possible at all.

I guess my only options are either adding the correct path of the folder on the NAS to the same external library on Immich and rescanning, but I suppose that would duplicate all files? Or maybe adding the correct path and removing the local one then rescanning?

I appreciate any guidance for my mistake, thanks in advance and the amazing software 🙏
