First of all, thank you for developing such a great application to preserve memories through photos and videos.
I recently purchased a $100 server and your application to support your hard work and future updates — though it’s a small contribution, it’s my way of appreciating your efforts.
Now, regarding the issue I’m facing — it might not actually be a system issue, but rather something I’m missing in the setup process. I was previously using Synology Photos but wasn’t satisfied with its performance, so I decided to switch to IMMICH.
While trying to add my existing photo library (previously used by Synology Photos) and assign it to the IMMICH yml configuration file, I encountered the following error:
“1 path failed validation.”
I carefully followed the setup instructions and also watched several guide videos on YouTube, but I couldn’t get it to work.
Please note that I’m not an IT expert, so understanding the technical details or coding configurations is a bit challenging for me. I would greatly appreciate your guidance on how to correctly link my existing library folder to IMMICH.
