data from my network volume gone!
I have a network volume in EU-CZ-1, I've created several pods using this volume - it got mounted correctly but all my data is gone! WTF??

finally someone else with the same issue
so your storage was persistent, until running several pods later?
@Atlas yes, all network storage volumes are supposed to be persistent - and in the past they all were. Suddenly I boot up with a mounted network volume and it is completely empty. Even telemetry shows there are no data. WTF
wow
bruh im so close to switching to a different service
where the f is tech support
i actually had a serious problem with runpod previously and almost switched .. I guess its time to find an alternative. I liked runpod for its easy of use, there are cheaper alternatives though. Runpods customer service is terrible and extremely slow. And even when they acknowledge the problem their compensation offer is like they are spitting in your face :(
plus they have non-existing SLAs .. there were months when I paid hundreds of dollars for hosting .. and yet they dont care
the fact they list all their graphics cards available, but when you actually create a network storage you only get access to 1/10th of them, im gonna look for a better competitor
ai is blowing the fuck up, like wtf is runpod doing with their fumbling
I often run into a problem that I try to run a pod and when I click deploy it says that GPU is not available any more .. I'm lucky if I run a pod within 5 tries
yep i get the same issue
im looking for better alts now
i dont have time to fight their shitty website when im already fighting getting the ai to work
same here, let me know if you find something
going to check reddit
lmao seems to be a trend https://www.reddit.com/r/comfyui/comments/1nx4fzb/alternatives_to_runpod/

Lot to unpack here, just starting with I am the only person doing support on the Discord as a primary responsibility. I'm here, and if you need something when I'm not please email
help@runpod.io
To my knowledge there is no way you lose the data in a network volume without your balance entirely emptying and the system deleting your volume. It could be that you mounted the wrong volume, it could be that you ran out of credits. I don't know for certain without a pod id, account email, something identifiable.
I don't know what support does to offer comp for server issues, but in the future if you ever feel like it's not enough you can always bother me - I can check Support tickets and intervene when necessary. It is just not physically possible for us to have at least 8 of each graphics card in every single DC around the world. If you know that you prefer a certain GPU, you can click it in the sidebar and we'll show you the datacenters it's stored in.
For example:

packs_well is one of us!
@notrius, @Atlasmy network volume has never persisted this whole time
i made a different pod thread about it
It's hard to phrase this lightly but that would mean you hadn't been using it at all :frowning3:
It's mounted to
/workspace, not / (the root)
I see your mention in your thread, let me take a look.how could I mount wrong volume? I only have one volume and used the deploy button under PODS primary menu item. Also used DEPLOY POD WITH VOLUME under network volumes - both resulting in the same thing
this looks like correctly mounted volume, right?

yet no data there @Dj I've mounted network volumes XY times before. The problem is not me. The problem is runpod
A network volume is a mount to a folder on a dedicated server in the datacenter your Pod is deployed to. Short of someone going specifically to your volume and removing the files nothing has the power to delete the files but our billing worker and you.
Really all I can do is speculate without an account email, I may be able to find your pod off what I know about you here but its a lot of digging >.<
@Dj thanks, sent you all the necessary info in a DM
