DB upgrade time
Hey, I started db upgrade, it has been around 24 hours and it is still going. My db size was very small but had a a lot of edge functions and views.
Is this normal?

No. There are issues with high loads and capacity in some regions that are causing these to fail.

Note that most of the EU regions were impacted last night just on capacity.
I am in US region. Btw in case it fails, will it restore to previous state? Any chances of me losing code and data?
Contact support and put Project Upgrade Stuck in title.
You won't lose data but it likely will not complete until the it gets to the infra team to fix it.
Make sure you get an email ticket # back.

This is happening in all regions randomly due to load, just more of an issue in capacity ones.
I have already dropped an email and received the ticket id.
I am mostly worried about code and db. I stupidly didn’t took any backup.
But there was some automatic backup. I am just curious backup is of db only or whole state (edge functions, table schema, rls policies, etc) ?
Hard to say exactly but most are "just" project stuck in a bad state until unstuck by support.
What is showing on your screen and what size DB?
I don’t remember the size.

I think it is the project thing as stuck in getting a new server, not the restore process.
But is small only. No tables has more than 1000 data rows
What should I do here now? Wait for them to look at ticket?

30 mins back. After ticket, they gave discord channel to discuss 😅
But it is Pro org and submitted thru the infra tab and not direct email?
Also did you have project or upgrade stuck in the title?

Yes I submitted through infra tab to upgrade it.
30 minutes unfortunately is nothing right now as they are swamped.
I can wait, the only thing I want is no code and db loss.
There is no way for me to cancel the upgrade. Even I am ok with that.
You can drop your ticket # here and we can at least see if it is infra thru an informal path but way to soon to escalate.
No way from dashboard.
For specific cases of lock up there are options here, but I don't believe any would work for upgrade.

Cancel the upgrade if possible.
This is a user helping user forum and not sure more than is it the infra queue out of support queue is what we will get. The infra queue would not matter what touch the backend team has to make is my guess for US.

I was about to launch my startup on product hunt tomorrow. I can wait. The only thing I don’t want is code and db loss. 🙂
@tomaspozo SU-268129 Pro user, normally too soon to escalate to see if made it to infra, but not sure how much longer either of us are around if at all tonight.
