Android add share link to desktop strips URL to app login
So kind of a weird one - i have an album that i am sharing with people via a share link only. They do not want the immich app and backups etc.
They open the share link in chrome/edge/brave etc and the page opens up to the album password login page. If i then try to add that page (the share link) to the desktop as a shortcut, when i open it the page navigates to the server auth/login page. They do not have an account so cannot access.
They do not want an account, just want to access the album.
Is this an Immich issue or is this something to do with android and the add shortcut to homescreen thing. I have had it working before (about 6 months back on a tablet) but more recently and on phones it is not working.
Would love to know if this is something that can be fixed or any workarounds. Is there a basic login they can have perhaps without all the backup stuff?
