My mod manager isnt opening (gray screen)
when i use the shortcut it just opens a grey box nothing else
i have complellltely removed and reinstalled it including downloaded mods

Maybe there's a zombie process, try restarting your computer
did a restart but this is all im getting
Try to start it as administrator then
same result i just tried that now i ive tried launch on install when installing everything seems to be the same result
it happened last night and continued this morning
Or from a command prompt to check for any output there

just tried to boot it then grey box as shown above
it did it to me once and when a mod had an update i clicked to update it cloased the game opened the manager and it orked fine after
im going to backup the save games
then uninstall both game and mod manager maybe that will sort it
no, uninstalling the game won't affect this

the mod manager doesn't interact directly with the game, it just moves files in and out of the directory
the game itself now doesnt have the mod menu item

no but thats definatly somthingi can look into e is for games b is an external drive that has photos etc strange but defo somthing i can look into

SMM queries steam to find out where the game install is, so somehow Steam must have provided it with
E:\GAMES\Steam at some pointyeah just looking at my steam settigns now
Ok, another thing to try - completely blast SMM off the face of the PC (including your profiles) and start over.
* uninstall SMM
* Go to
%localappdata% and delete ficsit and SatisfactoryModManager or satisfactory-mod-manager-gui-updater if present. (NOT FactoryGame, that's where your saves live)
* Go to %appdata% and delete ficsit and SatisfactoryModManger if present
* Reinstall SMMthis worked prefectly thanks you
i had a break before i got stared with adding the mods back and now its doing it again i added 1 mod

all errors regarding e and b drives are gone

We need more information to help you. Before launching the game again, open the Mod Manager and use the "Generate debug info" option, then send the zip file produced here in this channel.

I thought you said the gray problem was gone and this was something else

it did until i closed and opened it again
that is only the end of the file, please send the whole file. unless you mean that is the only text in the file?
thats the only text since i clear the files like last solution and with one boot thats what i get
other then its adding has exited when i close it from taskbar
could it be my drivers i know that seems odd but its a render problem right? also i went and found version 2.0.3 and that i could see it opened fine for a sec i could see the ui thats meant to be there but then it auto updated
and grey screen
any way to stop the auto update
so heres a weird update to everything im trying the mod manager will open perfectly fine while steam is moving the game files from one drive to another but only while the moving is happening
not sure what's up with it, let's see if anyone else has some ideas
I don't believe it's a render problem since it's so variable based on file handling weirdness

it is now finding the installation
to use it i have temporarly been trying to open it while steam is in process of moving the game install folder then when its done move it back and use mod manager as normal now that trick stoppped working
but the log does now see the game
