Cant change volume on Fedora
Sup, salvaged an old stream deck from a drawer and im trying to get it set up.
i have volume up/down bound to F2 & F3, but cant get them to work via input simulation. Nor can i get any volume control plugins to work.
my current command is [Key(F2, Press)]
other buttons work, so its not the whole thing broken

Are you on X11 or Wayland?
x11
its a known bug I think. Input simulation needs a patched OpenDeck Starterpack for now. (Upstream issue)
I can send you one later when I am back at home after work
Ah thanks. yeah if you could send me that. no rush
Hey, you still able to send this?
sorry completely forgot. Should be home in about 1h. I set a alarm for then
Np, and thanks
Hi,
Still stuck in traffic but hopefully be home soon.
Its cool
I have sent you a DM with the file.
feel free to send it here so I can forward it to anyone else who needs it
I presume you just disabled the libei feature
yeah
Solution
hmm, why not send the whole plugin?
then it can be installed from the plugin manager
in which folder can I find it?
?
after running the build commen, I can't find it. Thats why I always used this file.
the com.amansprojects.starterpack. sdPlugin folder gets zipped to make the plugin file
are you using just
cargo build --release?Yeah
with all the source code?
use instead
deno run -A build.ts /path/to/whereyouwantit/com.amansprojects.starterpack.sdPlugin x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
then it will create the whole folder at the path you want it at
and you can zip that upgood to know
thanks. this has made the button work, but now im having a different issue.
when i press the button down it seems to keep the button as if it were held down. volume goes to min/max and it disables my keyboard inputs until i close opendeck completely
Nvm, it was my issue. didnt realise i had to tell it to release on key up
