Pre-migration Immich features
Hi guys, congrats with the stable release! I was an user a year ago but the development was very active so I decided to wait a bit, but now is the time. I would like to ask you guys a few questions related to some features I desired before.
- Immich used to rename uploaded file names, which is what I relied heavily on to organize media to avoid vendor lock-in. Is it still a case and is there anyway I can keep filename or even folder structures of uploaded files?
- Is there a way to edit metadata or filename directly and saved to uploaded files?
- Does the mobile applications have offline mode, or allow me to make a file or an album downloaded to the app?
- Does the mobile applications have offload image mode, which allow me to delete original image as soon as it is uploaded to the server via Immich app?
For the migration, do you have any guide for Synology Photos migration to persist as much data (most importantly Face recognition) as possible, or even using both Synology Photos and Immich the same time?
