req: need a way to be able to read the reference designator in PCB , I realize I am currently using silkscreen and it is placed in a hole in the PCB and would not ultimately get rendered, however I need it for virtual viewing here.
I'm sure someone else will complain about that, so that's where the ability to turn silkscreen display off, or adjust opacity of each element, would come into play. for now, please move top silk to be over the other elements

i wonder if using pcbnotetext would be more ergonomic if the silkscreen is never actually being created- i haven't tested this
works for now!

however, removes any text rendering from 3d view, which we discussed needing before
yep
yea i just bountied that issue- but can tackle shortly if nobody jumps on it
also notice that all the texts are slightly off center - they are all defined as
pcbX={0} pcbY={0} relative to their footprint/ chip so I would love for them to actually be centered on the footprint, relative to their own horizontal and vertical center, etc...

yea that's correct
sorry, as in, I am correct, or the current behaviour is already correct?
you're correct, they're offset incorrectly!
thank you for clarifying 🙂
